Benjamin Ward, a recent graduate of John A Holmes High School in Edenton, is the 2018 Katherine G Shook Master Gardener Scholarship award winner. The area scholarship is sponsored by the Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Chowan, Gates, & Perquimans County, with support from their annual spring garden show. Ben is attending North Carolina State University next year to study Forest Management. He is pictured with the local Extension Master Gardener℠ program president, Nancy Dougherty.
