The 2019 Avery County 4-H Summer W.O.W.(Wonderful Opportunities Waiting) Program has officially begun accepting applications for the upcoming summer. The Avery County 4-H staff has planned another exciting, fun and educational summer program for youth, ages 5 to13 years old. The 4-H Summer W.O.W. Program is licensed through N.C. Division of Child Development and Education.

4-H Summer W.O.W. will run from June 17 to July 26, 2019. The program hours of operation will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The daily participation fee is $25 per day. (Please note: Daily fees cover all activity costs, transportation to and from the main site, breakfast, lunch, and a healthy snack each day.)  Transportation services will be available from Banner Elk Elementary and Freedom Trail Elementary ONLY.

The 2019 4-H Summer W.O.W. Program enrollment packet and information links are listed below. If you are planning on enrolling your child/children into the program, PLEASE PRINT THE ENROLLMENT PACKET/DAILY ACTIVITY FORM, FROM THE LINKS LISTED BELOW;  it is MANDATORY that each child has an enrollment packet completed and returned to the  N.C. Cooperative Extension, Avery County Center (Heritage Park, 661 Vale Road, Newland) by Thursday, June 13, 2019.   Please remember if a completed packet is not submitted to the 4-H office your child/children will NOT be able to participate.
