Get ready for some friendly competition and a lot of fun at the 71st Annual Chowan County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale! Debuting this year is the Adult Showmanship Contest, offering adults the opportunity to showcase their skills in handling livestock. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a first-time participant, this event is sure to entertain.
How It Works - For a donation of $25 to Chowan County 4-H, you can nominate someone (or yourself) to show a hog at the livestock show on April 15th. The person you nominate can either accept the challenge by showing in the ring OR they can donate $25 to Chowan County 4-H to opt out. Complete the nomination form, linked below, and return it to the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Chowan County Center. We will be accepting nominations until April 7th. The Adult Showmanship Contest will take place immediately following the conclusion of the Chowan County 4-H Livestock Show. Participants will be randomly assigned a hog to show. Youth showmanship winners will be the judges for this contest.
