The Chowan County Agricultural Center Arboretum contains 25+ species of trees that range from the classic evergreen, Leyland Cypress to the prehistoric Ginkgo tree. Each species is now labelled with a plaque that gives both the common and scientific name, as well as a QR code that links to more information about that species. We thank our summer intern, Charity Stallings, for her work on this project as well as Extension Master Gardener volunteer, Tosh Towe, for installing the plaques.
