Camaryn Byrum, 4-H Youth Development Agent in Chowan County, was awarded the TC Blalock Young Agent Award during the 2023 North Carolina Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals Annual Conference held in New Bern, NC on September 6th–8th. Camaryn has been the 4-H Agent in Chowan County since July 2018. She serves as the 4-H Agent in the same county where she was a 4-H member. With her creativity and innovation, Camaryn hopes to continue making an impact on the lives of Chowan County youth for years to come. The purpose of the North Carolina Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals is to promote the profession of Extension 4-H and youth work in North Carolina. The 4-H program is the youth education program of North Carolina Cooperative Extension, based at North Carolina State and North Carolina A&T State Universities.
