Collapse ▲Are you in the restaurant or food service industry? The N.C. Cooperative Extension is offering a ServSafe Food Safety Class this November, designed to equip you with essential knowledge for safe food handling and preparation.
Event Details:
- Location: N.C. Cooperative Extension, Chowan County Center, 730 N. Granville St. Edenton, NC 27932
- Dates:
- Instruction Days: Wednesday & Thursday, November 13-14, 8:30 a.m.– 3 p.m.
- Exam Day: Friday, November 15th, 9:00–11:00 a.m.
About the Course: The ServSafe course, developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, is vital for food service operators, managers, and support staff. It covers critical aspects of food safety, from receiving and storing food to preparing and serving it, helping reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses.
Registration Details:
- Cost: $125 (includes the 7th edition ServSafe book and exam sheet)
- Deadline: November 1st

- Retest: If you need to retake the exam, please contact Mary Morris at 252-482-6585 or via email at mary_morris@ncsu.edu. Retest fee $50
Important Notes:
- Registration fees are non-refundable but transferable to another person.
- Full registration, including payment, is required to secure your spot as class size is limited
- If you need print learning materials in another language please let me know. The class is taught in English.
